English: A contemporary Vietnamese wedding reception at a rented hall, complete with MC, decorations, lighting and other special effects. The bride and groom stand center stage, surrounded by their parents. The MC introduces the programme at stage left (right in this picture). Vietnamese wedding ceremonies, which usually involve only the main members of the two families, are often followed by a reception (either on the same day, or later—sometimes weeks or months later) to which the extended family, friends, and co-workers are invited.
